Concrete Studio is a Cape Town–based design studio creating handcrafted concrete furniture, decor and custom pieces for homes, hospitality spaces and commercial projects across South Africa.
What began during Covid with a single concrete pot and a curiosity to learn has grown into a collaborative workshop focused on timeless design, quality craftsmanship and thoughtful making.
Founded by Charmaine Nolte, Concrete Studio brings together skilled artisans, carpenters and makers who share a love for creating objects with texture, permanence and character. Every piece is handmade, celebrating the natural beauty and individuality of concrete and other carefully selected materials.
Our range includes dining tables, coffee tables, benches, basins, firepits, planters, stools, side tables and home accessories, alongside handcrafted timber pieces and mixed-material designs. While we offer a growing collection of standard products, custom work remains at the heart of what we do.
We love creating pieces that respond to a specific space, challenge or idea — whether it’s a custom dining table for a family home, statement pieces for a lodge or restaurant, or something completely unexpected and sculptural.
No two projects are ever quite the same, and that is exactly what inspires us.
What We Do
Handcrafted Furniture & Decor
We create concrete and timber furniture designed for modern indoor and outdoor living. Our pieces are made to feel grounded, tactile and timeless — objects that become part of the spaces they live in.
Custom Concrete Work
Custom work is a large part of our studio. We work with homeowners, interior designers, stylists, architects, lodges and restaurants to create bespoke pieces tailored to each project.
This can include:

- One-of-a-kind sculptural pieces

Homeware & Accessories
Alongside larger furniture pieces, we also create smaller handcrafted homeware items including trays, decor objects, planters and functional everyday pieces designed for both retail and wholesale supply.
